It’s hard to believe we’ve reached the end of 2015, but here it is. This year, we launched Operation End Injury. This was a one-year challenge to help people make their world safer for kids one action at a time. Some of these actions required just minutes to complete like taking off your kid’s coat before buckling them into a car seat. Other actions took a little more planning and time like installing a working smoke detector in every bedroom.
We tried to do it ourselves too and here’s what we learned - it’s hard, even when we are given tasks to follow and it seems like they should be easy to do. But, it is worth the effort.
As we move on to 2016, look back at what you’ve done and keep building on those little steps. We’d like to suggest you go back through all the actions of the year and work on those you might not have done. You can also share with other people and encourage them to take action. By doing one action at a time and building a habit, we can move closer to ending injury.
